Welcome to the Heritage Consulting Australia Website Heritage Consulting Australia is a Canberra-based company specialising in the study and management of Australian cultural heritage, principally prehistoric and historical archaeological sites. We carry out archival research, field surveys, the recording of Aboriginal and historical sites, and use locally, nationally and globally relevant criteria to determine the significance of these sites. th our detailed understanding of Aboriginal heritage and themes in Australian historical archaeology, we are able to identify archaeologically sensitive areas, locate and evaluate sites and recommend the most appropriate site management options both to developers and to Traditional Owners, whose identity is grounded in these sites. We run cross-cultural courses, instructing in Aboriginal site recognition and avoidance, and providing advice on how to negotiate with Aboriginal people respectfully. |
